Mohammed bin Ali Al-Maktoumi holds a bachelor’s degree in GIS from Sultan Qaboos University and is currently the Lead of the GIS Department at Oman Broadband Company.

In 2024, he was honored as the ” GIS Hero in Telecommunications,” globally becoming the first Arab to receive this prestigious title. The award, granted by Esri, a leader in geospatial technologies, recognized his significant efforts in advancing the sector by developing organizational environments with the latest spatial technologies.

He was also honored with the 2023 Youth Excellence Award in Oman in the Digital Media category
