Based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Arief is a Senior Manager in Etisalat’s access network division.
In that role, he has the responsibility for the strategic planning of Etisalat’s FTTH network. As such, his role includes innovative solution definition, new technology development. Main focus areas include SDN, AI/ML.
Arief has more three (3) decades of telecom experience in the field of IP-Core networks, Aggregation networks, ISP, Optical Access networks, and Software Defined Networks. He has been key contributor in several joint innovation and technology shaping initiatives with several vendors to address the demands of a Telecom operator in evolution and value addition of IP networks & technology.
